FDIC-Insured - Backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government
Growing up, Vanessa McKellar had two passions: weddings and documenting the things she saw. By combining these dreams, she knew she wanted to be a wedding videographer.
To become a videographer, she went to UT Austin to study film. Right before graduation, she booked her first gig at a wedding, and the pressure was on – her first job had to go smoothly since she was launching her career.
At the end of the wedding, the brother of the groom asked her how it went. To both of their surprise, Vanessa burst into tears since she thought she messed up the whole video. However, she was able to put together a good demo, which landed her another gig. That gig led to another, which led to another. Nineteen years later, she is still doing what she loves, and her husband is able to do it with her.
The couple continues to film together, and they now do commercial work. Both love what they have accomplished, and Vanessa is proud of the career she has made.
